Philanthropist Lyudmila Rusalina awarded talented orphans at the «Happy Palms» Festival
The «Happy Palms» Contest-Festival annually connects the most talented orphans from different parts of Ukraine and generous philanthropists, who help young talents find their way in life. On February 9th, in the National Opera House of Ukraine hosted the final and awarding ceremony of the winners of the XII International Contest-Festival «Happy Palms» for outstanding achievements in creativity, study and sports. More than 600 gifted orphans from 12 to 16 years old from all regions of Ukraine took part in the competition.
The winners were awarded by Lyudmila Rusalina, philanthropist and business lady, the «godmother» of the contest: for all 13 years she has been a true friend of the festival for orphans and actively supports charitable initiatives. «Children, their destinies in our country, and especially children without parental support, are very important. What we will give to our children today, the foundation we will build — this will be the future of our state», — said Lyudmila Rusalina.
Ukrainian celebrities and guests from abroad came to congratulate the winners of the contest: famous musician, leader of the «Space» group Didier Marouani, famous singers Oleksander Ponomarev and Nastya Kamensky, choreographer Grigory Chapkis, virtuoso pianist Evgen Khmara, Mini Miss Ukraine Sofiya Garkushyna, television presenter Ruslana Pysanka and also popular performers Yarmak, the group «Clay Ugryumogo», duet «Anna-Maria», Lilu.
The winners of the «Happy Palms» contest-festival received awards and memorable gifts, also very soon the children will go to rest in the Carpathians, in the summer to Croatia and in autumn to the UK to study English.
The general partner of the event was the trademark of high-quality delicious Ukrainian sweets «Domashne Svyato», which provided festive sets of sweets for all winners. The competition is held with the support of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, the Ministry of Culture of Ukraine, the Ministry of Social Policy of Ukraine and the Ministry of Youth and Sport of Ukraine, as well as Ukrainian and foreign charitable organizations.
